Samira Ahmed, journalist and broadcaster, was named the British Broadcasting Press Guild’s 2020 Audio Presenter of the Year. Her BBC4 series Art of Persia was the first major Western documentary series to be filmed in Iran for 40 years. She presents Front Row on Radio 4, the Intelligence Squared podcast How I Found My Voice and Newswatch on BBC1. Samira won the Stonewall Award for Broadcast of the Year while a presenter at Channel 4 News. Previously a BBC News correspondent she covered the OJ Simpson civil trial while the BBC’s Los Angeles Correspondent.
