Amelia is Combat Systems Portfolio Director at BAE Systems. In this role she is leading a technology business that designs, manufactures and integrates a wide range of technology solutions into complex naval warships for UK and international navies.

She joined BAE Systems in 2013, and has held a number of Technical Authority, Engineering Management and transformation leadership roles. Her time as Head of Engineering in the Naval Ships business included the successful delivery of two new warships to the Royal Navy. She recently completed a year on secondment as Chief of Staff to BAE Systems' CEO.

Amelia served in the Royal Navy for 11-years, during which time she had roles at sea and ashore, encompassing operational deployments as well as defence procurement and support. After leaving the Royal Navy, she spent 5-years as a Senior Business Analyst, working with public and private sector organisations.

She is a member of the Solent LEP Skills Advisory Panel and the Maritime UK Solent Board. Amelia received the Women in Defence Promotion of Gender Diversity award in 2016, the WISE Woman In Industry Award in 2017, and in 2018 was named as one of the 100 women to watch by Cranfield University.
